Bingley's Deception Page 11

Leaving the theater, the families arrived at Buckingham Palace for the celebration. Dinner was four courses, and then the dessert was a wedding cake. The King and Queen presided over the meal. Several members of the royal family served as witnesses to the celebration.

Edward told stories of the two girls’ friendship. “Mother, you are aware that Elizabeth is the one that taught my daughter how to find frogs. Until that day at the pond, Victoria was afraid of the creatures. After Lizzy showed her how to hold them and what they ate, she decided to bring them back to the palace. Since then they have taken over the park.”

“Oh my, if I was aware of that before, I might have allowed you to banish the lady.” Queen Charlotte teased. “But in all honesty, Elizabeth has been a benefit to our princess. She demonstrated how to interact with others politely. I love my granddaughter dearly, but when she was younger, Victoria was very spoiled. I know, who could imagine a princess that was spoiled?”

“But when she began spending time with Elizabeth, she mellowed. Victoria started worrying about other people more than herself. The compassion that she learned from Elizabeth will make Victoria a wonderful leader one day.” King George III was very proud of the way that his granddaughter had grown up. “In fact, she will be visiting children’s hospitals as her first royal commission. Once Elizabeth has come out of seclusion, she may be asked to accompany Victoria.”

As the dinner progressed, more stories were told about both of the newlyweds’ childhoods. The Fitzwilliams were able to provide examples of what a good man Darcy was. Edward was happy that his second daughter had found a man who would protect and care for her, especially since her father had abandoned her.

With the announcement and inclusion by the Royals, no one could disparage Elizabeth without being accused of treason. The royal family would not allow anyone to call her behavior into question, especially a tradesman’s daughter. Edward was determined to ensure that the Bingleys would remain out of London society permanently.

The Darcys were finally able to leave the celebration just before sunrise. Elizabeth leaned against her husband in the carriage. She was tired but delighted with her husband. “I believe that we will both need to sleep soon. Will you stay with me? Will you stay with me always?” Darcy kissed his bride, holding her until she agreed to his request.

William always wanted a wife that wished to be with him in all things. Especially in sharing their bed. He knew that Lizzy would care for him. She truly loved him. He was amazed, they met just over a week ago, and now they were married. He could not believe how happy he was with her. He needed to ensure that they would remain satisfied throughout their lives.

Mr. Barnes, the Darcy butler, opened the door for the Darcys to enter that morning. The master suite had been cleaned and aired out at Darcy’s directions. Clothing had been arriving from Matlock House since the couple left for the theater. The maids hung the clothes belonging to their new mistress in her chambers. Unbeknownst to Elizabeth, Lady Matlock had ordered some nightwear for the new bride during their shopping trip. Janet had been sent to prepare the bride for her wedding night or morning.

William walked Lizzy to the door of the mistress chambers. Entering, he briefly showed her the room. “I know that you were here on the first day of our arrival. We are too tired to explore this room currently. During our seclusion, we spend some time here; then you can determine what you wish changed.” Kissing his bride, “will thirty minutes be enough time for you to prepare?”

“Yes husband, I will be ready in that time.” Darcy left her with Janet. Her dress and undergarments were removed, then her hair let down and brushed out. “I just will use a robe tonight, next time I will wear one of the gowns Aunt Adeline gifted me.” Janet was excused as Elizabeth was satisfied with her help.

Darcy knocked on their connecting door, Elizabeth was ready for him. He entered and kissed his wife passionately. “Are you ready to retire darling?” With her definite answer, they walked to the master’s chambers. Kissing his bride, Lizzy untied her robe. Darcy deepened the kiss, claiming her mouth while touching his wife. He had waited several hours to have her in his bed; now she was his.

As the kiss deepened, William began touching his bride. Realizing that she was bare underneath excited William. “Sweetheart, can I see all of you?” With Lizzy’s positive response, Darcy pushed the robe from her shoulders, and it fell to the ground at her feet. Stepping back, he looked over her body. She was perfect for him. Her waist was small while her breasts filled his hands. Unable to stop himself, he reached for her. Picking her up, he placed her in the center of his bed. William’s eyes raked over her body as he began removing his clothing. Once he was bare, he quickly joined his bride on the bed. “Darling, I love you so much.” William took possession of her lips. Darcy's desire for his wife increased as their kisses became more passionate. Pushing his tongue between her lips, he tasted his bride. Coaxing her with passionate kisses, he sucked on her tongue. Her moans were driving him crazy, and he knew that she liked what he was doing to her.

His mouth moved down her neck. He was caressing, sucking and nipping her as he worshipped her body. He wanted to prepare her properly for their joining. Lizzy was moaning and pushing her breast into his hands enjoying his touch. She pushed higher by arching her back, silently asking him to continue. He knew that she did not have any experience in physical love, so he wanted her to enjoy their activity. He wanted Lizzy to desire him, not just see their bed as a chore.

His hands moved over her body, feeling her curves, molding her to him. “What is happening?” Lizzy moaned as William’s finger began to move within his wife while his thumb rubbed her special spot. “I feel something happening, but I do not understand.”

“Let it happen, darling. You will feel bliss, and then you will be prepared to become my wife. Sweetheart, feel the pleasure I can bring you.” Lizzy arched and then went stiff. Her muscles began to contract inside her. William knelt between her legs and pushed into her. He felt the muscles convulse around him, so he had to push inside quickly, breaching her maidenhead. Lizzy stiffened beneath him. Her arms went around his arms; her nails broke his skin. Worried that he hurt her, William stopped moving to allow his wife to conform around him, kissing her to distract her from the pain he inflicted. After a few moments, she lifted her hips and moaned, then began to move beneath him, allowing him permission to push inside. He wanted to drive fully in and out of his bride, but with this being her first time, he kept his movements short and restricted. Using his fingers, he circled her pearl, then pinched it bringing on her second climax. This triggered his release inside of her. Falling on top of her, he kissed her. “Are you well Lizzy? Are you in any pain sweetheart?”

“I am well husband. There was a pinch when you entered me, and I felt full. I never felt anything like this before.” Lizzy stated, staring into her husband’s eyes. “Will it be like this every time?”

Kissing her neck, caused her to moan and arch against his body making his member stiffen within her. “There will only be pleasure from now on, no more pain. The pain marked your purity. There may also be some blood as this was your first time, so do not worry about it. You are now truly my wife in every way. May we try this again without the pain?” He already wanted her again. She had been very responsive, making their joining very pleasurable for both.

Lizzy’s “Yes, please.” Lead to Darcy bringing her to pleasure three more times before joining her in his release. Exhausted, he pulled out of his wife, snuggling together they fell asleep. They held each other through the night. Each time they woke, one would move to lead to more expressions of their love. The couple did not leave the suite for an entire week. Their servants were allowed in to provide food and baths when called. The newlyweds learned how to please each other intimately. Their joining became more caring and inventive. Each wanted to please the other, so they decided to try more creative methods of pleasure.

Through their time alone, they ventured into rooms that Darcy w
anted to make memories within. Mrs. Barnes fielded reports of staff seeing the master and mistress leaving rooms with their clothing askew. She knew that the master was truly loved. She needed to let her counterpart be aware of the change in circumstances. Mrs. Reynolds would be required to have the mistress chambers aired and ready for the Darcys return.

  Chapter Sixteen: Return to Society

Mrs. Barnes sent notice to Matlock House when the Darcys emerged from their chambers. The Countess had requested that the housekeeper notified her when the newlyweds were ready to face society. The family extended an invitation to dinner that evening. Lady Matlock decided that she would help Elizabeth by attending her social hours as set for the coming week. Knowing the ton, she wanted to protect her niece and support their marriage. Unknown to the Countess, members of the royal family were also interested in ensuring that Elizabeth’s entry to society was successful.

During her first day with visiting hours, Darcy could not remain in the sitting room. He was glad that his aunt was going to be with her, as he needed to answer some correspondence for business purposes. He wrote a note informing his aunt that Lizzy would be receiving visitors on Monday while he was busy in his study. Aunt Adeline arrived at half past nine, thirty minutes before visiting hours began. She wanted to ensure that her niece was aware of what her visitors would be expecting from her. She supported Lizzy, and she wanted to demonstrate that protection by being present during her first visits by the ton. This would stem some unpleasant women from speaking their vile comments to scare her away.

“As this is the first opportunity for the ladies of the ton to meet you, expect many to be here to find fault in you. Several of these ladies chased William for many years. He was the premier bachelor of the ton since he was eighteen. Remember, he chose you above all the others. They will be here to find your weaknesses to make themselves feel better. None of them loved your husband; they only wanted him for his wealth.” Aunt Adeline needed to ensure that Elizabeth was prepared for all who might show.

Elizabeth’s first visitor was extremely unpleasant indeed. Lady Catherine de Bourgh arrived promptly at ten to meet the bride. She was admitted to the green sitting room. “Who are you to claim an acquaintance with my nephew? You cannot be his wife; my daughter is to have that honor. How dare you claim the royal family attended your ceremony? You are a penniless, gentlewoman who has no connections. I know about your family; you have nothing that would make you a candidate to marry my nephew.” Aunt Adeline smiled as the next visitor arrived during Catherine’s diatribe. The ladies in the room who were facing the door dropped into a deep courtesy.

“No connections? Mrs. Elizabeth Darcy has connections that are higher than yours Lady Catherine.” Princess Victoria stated as she walked into the room. Lady Catherine turned, her face paled as she dropped into a formal courtesy. “Mrs. Darcy, I had sent servants every day to see when your knocker was returned to your door. I am pleased to see that you are happy with your marriage. I plan on remaining an active part of your life to ensure you are treated well.”

“Princess, I am happy to see you so soon. I feared that you had left town for your winter holiday.” Elizabeth smiled as she watched her friend take over the room. “I wanted to thank you for your kindness and consideration to my family. Please express my thanks to your father.”

“You are my oldest and dearest friend. I would be remiss if we left town before ensuring that you were satisfied with your new situation.” Victoria replied smiling, knowing that she was ensuring Lizzy’s place in society. “My family owes you a great debt. You have ensured our property was well maintained and never asked for anything from us in return. My father feels that you are his second daughter. You are my sister, even if it is not by blood.”

“How can you, a royal princess give consideration to this country nobody?” Lady Catherine could not help herself from breaking protocol. She was incensed that an upstart had destroyed all of her plans. With Darcy married, her daughter would need to find another husband. If she married outside of the family, her husband would want to take over Rosings Park, then Catherine would have to move to the dowager house. “She has no dowry, her family is without consideration, as they have no wealth. Her father’s estate is entailed away from his daughters. Why is she important to you?”

“Oh, Lady Catherine, you deem the value of a person as given by society as a consequence of birth and financial standing. Some nobles lack character while other people without titles exhibit the greatest honor and integrity. You demonstrate the fact that titles can be given to people who lack class and character.” Princess Victoria stopped when Lady Matlock coughed to cover her laughter. Winking at the Countess, she continued berating Catherine. “Elizabeth may not have a title, but she has more class and character than you possess. You do bring one interesting point to our conversation; I will have the entail at Longbourn investigated to determine if it should remain in place. While the royal lawyers are looking into this matter, I will also have them look into Lewis de Bourgh’s will. I believe that his properties were deemed to be inherited by his daughter, Anne when she turned twenty-one, yet you still claim to be mistress of Rosings Park.”

Lady Catherine was trapped. She could not leave unless the princess allowed her to, or until after the princess left first. She was forced to listen to the royal plans of removing her from the estate. “Princess Victoria, my nephew, could not have married Miss Elizabeth; he is betrothed to my daughter. They have been promised to marry since infancy. Their betrothal was arranged by my sister and myself; it was her dearest wish.” Catherine tried to distract the princess from her intent on looking into her husband’s will.

Darcy quietly entered the room at this time. He bowed to Victoria then asked for permission to speak. “Lady Catherine, there is no paperwork with my father’s signature stating that I am betrothed to your daughter. Before you claim that my mother has declared her intent to have me marry Cousin Anne, I have a letter that was copied and sent to every member of our family and signed by your sister, my mother. We have all known that your claim is a lie for many years. Besides, it is illegal to marry one’s sister in England.” Darcy stepped up to his aunt, towering over her. He showed his disgust with his aunt. “My mother knew that while she struggled to survive my birth, you proceeded to get my father drunk and enter his chambers alone. You had relations with him as his wife, your dearest sister, was fighting for her life in the next room. The family is aware that when you presented with your pregnancy, Uncle Lewis died suddenly before he could claim the child not to be his. I believe that it is time for you to retire from society permanently. I will never acknowledge you as a relative again. You are banned from my homes.”

“It is amazing that again, Elizabeth shows more character than a woman with a title.” Princess Victoria smiled, knowing that she would remove this problem permanently. “I will have my guards escort y
ou from this property. You will be removed from Rosings Park to the dowager house. If you leave the dowager house, you will be removed to Bedlam. England does not need a woman like you claiming to be a lady. You are dismissed from this residence.” Turning to address the Darcys. Victoria grabbed Elizabeth’s hand. “I believe that you have been fortunate to make the marriage that you were born to make. Mr. Darcy, please keep my friend happy. She has had many trials over the years. She deserves to be happy finally.” Princess Victoria hugged Elizabeth and kissed her cheek. “When we return from our Scottish estate, I will send word. I would like you to remain as my first lady in waiting if your husband can spare you occasionally. Also, I promise to look into ending the Bennet entail. If Jane is deemed heiress of Longbourn, your family ruin will end completely.”

When the princess left, the knocker was removed from the door once again. Aunt Adeline decided to give the newlyweds time to themselves to comfort each other until dinner at her home that evening. She reminded them that Georgie would be returning to Darcy House with them that evening.

As she left, William escorted Lizzy to the library. They cuddled on the sofa and spoke of what happened with Catherine before he arrived. She asked about his relationship with Anne. “It is believed by the family that Anne is George Darcy’s daughter. Officially, she is still Lewis de Bourgh’s heir. If my father had claimed her, she would have been a bastard with no funds or name. Catherine had tricked a grieving man by use of libations, then tried to force her unworthy daughter onto his son. Catherine has sealed her fate with her actions and poor manners. I do not regret separating from her.”
